Welcome back to ‘Conscious Transformation!’ Before we start to dig deep into some of the bigger issues on this podcast, I wanted to address something that I feel needs to be said. No matter where you are in life, you can choose to have the next 365 days as your prime year, and every year going forward as the best of your life.
Don’t let thoughts of failure, old age, or any negative angle creep into your mind because you have the ability to turn this next year into your best yet. In whatever way you want it to be.
Life will be whatever you believe it to be, so if you let thoughts of doubts plague your mind or you have a background fear, unconscious or subtle belief that it can’t get better, won’t get better, you’re past it, over the hill or simply not good enough. I’d like you to realize a fundamental truth which is. If you believe you can you can, and if you believe you can’t you wont.
I’ve had so many opportunities over the years to test this theory and the ability to create the life of my dreams in many areas and with many things, both big and small. Whether it’s health transformations, fitness, weight loss, relationships, money, career, business, making friends, or learning new skills – trust me, if you put your mind to it and believe in it, then it is possible. I’ve seen people do the impossible, and I’ve done things that no one would have believed possible.
So I know for sure that the thoughts we think lead to an unfolding of the actions we take that build the life that resonates with those thoughts, which means we can influence or create the life we want through the thoughts we allow ourselves to think. The key is to transform your mind, is to change your personality into the one for whom it is possible, and when that happens your personal reality will reflect your new personality.
Our beliefs shape our reality in more than we might realize. Let’s delve a bit into the science. The reticular activating system (RAS) in our brain acts as a filter, highlighting information that aligns with our beliefs and goals. This is the same process when you are buying a new car and now you see that car everywhere, or you might be pregnant and you see pregnant women everywhere. That is RAS kicking in. So when you believe in your ability to achieve something, your RAS helps you notice opportunities and resources that can help you succeed. It’s like tuning into a specific radio frequency – you start picking up signals that were always there but previously unnoticed. Your job is then to notice the opportunities and signals and take action fast! The key here is don’t wait or let the action stall. Take immediate action and follow the signals.
Let me share some real-life examples with you.
Consider the countless stories of individuals who, in their late fifties and early sixties, decided to start working out. Not only did they get in shape, but some even went on to win bodybuilding competitions in their seventies! Take Ernestine Shepherd, for instance, who began exercising at 56 and went on to become the world’s oldest female bodybuilder, winning titles in her 70s. Her story is a powerful reminder that age is just a number and that with dedication and belief, you can achieve extraordinary things at any stage in life.
There are countless stories of entrepreneurs against all odds turning failure into success. Alex Hormozi, who lost everything twice and then went on to become a highly successful entrepreneur and author, sharing his journey and business strategies to help others achieve success. Or Sara Blakely, who faced numerous rejections before founding Spanx, now a billion-dollar company. The key is they didn’t give up, why? Because they had belief!
The key to these transformations is changing your beliefs. It’s about transforming your personality into one for whom these changes are possible. When you change your personality, your personal reality will reflect this new identity. This principle is at the core of conscious transformation.
When I first fell ill, it felt like my world had come crashing down. The fatigue was so overwhelming that even simple tasks like getting out of bed felt impossible. Doctors couldn’t provide a clear diagnosis, and I was left to navigate this health crisis on my own. The uncertainty and fear were devastating.
However, I found a glimmer of hope through belief and meditation. I started focusing on my breath and visualizing a healthier, more vibrant version of myself day in and day out. It wasn’t easy, and there were days when doubt and frustration crept in. But I persevered, believing that I could heal my body through the power of my mind.
Gradually, I began to see small improvements. I could stay out of bed for longer periods, and my energy levels started to rise, I could push myself further and further. These small victories fueled my determination to keep going. I realized that my mindset played a crucial role in my recovery. By focusing on positive outcomes and visualizing success, I was rewiring my brain to support my healing journey.
So, how can you start transforming your beliefs and, consequently, your reality? Here are some practical steps:
- Start by identifying any limiting beliefs you hold. These are thoughts like, “I’m too old,” “I’m not smart enough,” or “I don’t have the resources.” Write them down and challenge them. Ask yourself if they are really true or just excuses holding you back.
- Replace limiting beliefs with empowering ones. For example, change “I’m too old” to “I have a lifetime of experience to draw from.” Affirmations can be powerful tools in this process. Write positive statements about yourself and repeat them daily.
- Spend time each day visualizing your goals. See yourself achieving them, feel the emotions of success, and immerse yourself in that future reality. Visualization helps rewire your brain to believe in the possibility of your dreams.
- Engage with people, books, podcasts, and environments that uplift and inspire you. Being around positivity reinforces your new beliefs and keeps you motivated.
- Belief without action is empty. Start taking steps towards your goals, no matter how small. Each action you take builds confidence and reinforces your belief in your ability to succeed.
- Regularly reflect on your progress. Celebrate your successes and learn from your setbacks. Be willing to adjust your approach if something isn’t working. Flexibility and resilience are key to long-term success.
Now, if you are still struggling to actually believe that your dreams are even possible, I have a challenge for you. Are you willing to spend just 10 minutes a day for the next 14 days on a visualization routine? This practice can help shift your belief in yourself help you to see the potential that is possible. If you’re ready to commit to this, let’s get started with Day 1.
On Day 1 focus on defining what you want to create in your life. Imagine that you’re living in your dream world. What does your ideal life look like? Take some time to write a paragraph that describes your desired life in detail. When crafting this visualization and manifesting paragraph, always write in the present tense, as if it’s already happening. This helps to program your subconscious mind to accept these statements as your reality.
A great way to start your paragraph is with Bob Proctor’s suggestion: “I am so happy and grateful now that…” This phrase sets a positive and appreciative tone, making it easier to believe and internalize your desires.
Short Version: “I am so happy and grateful now that money comes to me in increasing quantities, through multiple sources on a continuous basis.”
Long Version: “I am so happy and grateful now that money comes to me in increasing quantities, through multiple sources on a continuous basis. My business is growing from strength to strength, giving me full flexibility in how and where I work. I am so grateful for the balance I have in my life, working only four hours per day and spending the rest of my time with family, friends, exploring, and learning. I have an amazing home, beautiful cars, and I enjoy holidays every month. I have an abundance of money, freedom, health, happiness, and love. My job is my service to others and fulfills my spiritual goals.”
Once you’ve written your paragraph, read it out loud and visualize each detail as vividly as possible. Feel the emotions of joy, gratitude, and satisfaction as if these things are already part of your life.
For the next 13 days, we’ll build on this foundation. Here’s what you need to do each day:
- Every morning, write out your visualization paragraph three times. Writing it down helps to reinforce it in your mind and keeps your goals at the forefront of your thoughts.
- After writing it out, read your paragraph aloud with enthusiasm and conviction. Hearing your own voice affirm these statements can be incredibly powerful.
- Spend a couple of minutes visualizing your paragraph as already true. Close your eyes and imagine yourself living this life. Engage all your senses – see the vibrant colors, hear the sounds, feel the textures, and experience the emotions associated with your dream life.
- Throughout the day, stay open to opportunities, thoughts, and inspirations that align with your goals. When you believe that something is possible, your mind starts to notice chances and ideas that can help you achieve it.
I recently took on the 14-day visualization challenge again, and the results have been nothing short of amazing. Even though I’ve done this practice a few times before, I’m often reminded of just how powerful these initiatives can be. It was only on day two, that I felt like a rocket had gone off inside me!
The combination of a few synchronicities, along with new insights from an audiobook I had been listening to, were incredible. Writing my paragraphs, practicing visualization, and expressing gratitude have all contributed to this transformation.
When we set our intentions, practice visualization, and remain open to the messages and opportunities around us, amazing things can happen.
So, no matter where you are on your journey, I encourage you to give this visualization practice a try. It’s incredible how much can change when you set your intentions, practice visualization, and remain open to the messages and opportunities around you. Whether it’s transforming your health, achieving career success, or building meaningful relationships, the power to create your best year yet lies within you.
